IRIS

A dance performance by Clarissa Rêgo with sound by Thilo Seevers.

In times of constant acceleration, in a hyper-illuminated world where goods have free transit but people don't, a world in which important ecosystems are on the verge of collapse, in which a mere flag can be reason to kill or die, a world where the fundamental pillars for maintaining life seem to be crumbling, the present becomes so heavy that future seems unimaginable.

IRIS is an invitation to ground, to calm the gaze, to enliven the imagination and to open up to dreaming. Dreaming as a practice, as a guide, as an oracle, as a means of seeing other worlds, wearing other skins, listening to and speaking with other voices. And, perhaps, through dreaming we can glimpse a future in which we transcend dominantly human ways of being-acting and learn to coexist with the silence, the darkness and the forest.

WHEN I AM DEAD, MY DEAREST

Isn’t it darkness that makes light brighter? The debut album of newly formed band LILAMORS with vocalist Ana Čop and sound artist Jaka Arh represents a bold, inter-generational step, guiding Jazz into new realms of experimental electro-acoustic music.

«Ethereal and magical!»
– Radio Canada, Ottawa

«Curieux et aventureux“
– Radio Panik, Brussels

«Beautiful music. Stopped me in my tracks.»
– RTR FM, Perth

«Love this so much»
– Soho Radio, London

AUSZUG

The solo debut album. Vast variety of compositional styles, cultural heritage and soundscapes, like an ‘excerpt’ of decades dedicated to piano playing. Cosmopolitan and always ready to ‘move out’. ‘Reduced’ to two hands on one instrument. Emotionally direct, perhaps vulnerable and ‘exposed’.

«Simply one of Germany's best at the piano»
– Concerto

HOME

«I get emotional about music a lot. But this speaks to me like seldomly a piece of art does; my soul truly feels at HOME. Please, go and check out this beautiful album and dive into a world close to heart but from another universe.»
— Sophie Rennert

In times of lockdown I had the immense pleasure to go experimental in a duo project with my mentor and friend Uli Rennert. In the special context of the pandemic we aimed to leave our well-known Jazz territory for a while and find honest musical expression of our feelings and thoughts at that time.

«Master of keys, […] congenial sound designers»
— Kleine Zeitung

ACTS!

ACTS! is a duo that looks to really play. Be it poetry, a melodic line out of a jazz standard or a slavic folk song - there is no sort of material that wouldn’t serve the duo as an inspiration for improvisation. It is not only what, but how they play with the material that characterises the style of ACTS!

«You’ve never heard this song played like this»
- Ö1 on «Someday My Prince Will Come»

Storytelling

An unusually lyrical album for a piano trio these days, «never is the music about proving a point» (Bayerischer Rundfunk). Gently inviting for swinging and swaying, dwelling in melodic dreamlands or riding on waves of groove and bounce - this album is one «worth listening to» (Jazzthing).

«Pure, simple beauty»
- Concerto

Dancing Lights

Young and daring, the trio around pianist Thilo Seevers leaves its mark with this colourful and fearlessly risk-taking music.

«A fantastic debut album»
- Hifi & Records
